The South Sound Properties resort villa development is located on the island of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. Virgin Gorda is located east of Puerto Rico and St. Thomas, where airline service to Virgin Gorda is available. Ferries and flights are available from St. Thomas , while San Juan is about 45 minutes by air. There are also ferries to Roadtown, Tortola, which is the administrative and commercial center of the British Virgin Islands. A ferry also links the airport at Beef island. Virgin Gorda also has an airport with flights to St. Thomas and San Juan.
South Sound Properties can be located on the map at Mattie Point, which is lot 18. The development is located on South Sound , which is a spectacular lagoon with a 1 mile long offshore reef. The logoon is a source of conch and lobster and also has many turtles and fish. The hurricane hole to the right of the property is a nesting site for pelicans. South Sound is totally protected by the reef and thus is calm enough to water ski, sail, fish or land a pontoon aircraft. Large and small boats can be kept in South Sound and an opening in the reef provides easy access to the open sea.
